Objective:
Using the rough sound edit of the documentary “THE PHILOSOPHY OF COLOR”, assemble several final versions for distribution across various platforms, in accordance with their technical requirements.

For streaming platforms and TV channels.
For theatrical screenings at festivals across Russia.

Synopsis:

In the small village of Starokorsunskaya in the Krasnodar region lives a man — a contemporary genius deeply in love with his homeland. Alexey Parshkov is a great artist and philosopher, one of the founders of the South Russian school of painting, whose works appear in museums and private collections around the world.
This film offers a chance to enter the sacred world of the creator — to witness the process of bringing a work of art to life.
The viewer becomes a student of Alexey Andreevich, as he reveals the secrets of his craft.

Solution:

All audio tracks were normalized to consistent loudness parameters. Several important semantic phrases were cleaned from extraneous noise and placed into a different acoustic space.
To ensure full viewer immersion, SFX were added — both original and sourced externally.
The technologies of layering and sound framing were applied — increasing or decreasing volume depending on the size of the character’s shot in the frame; spatial processing of voice and ambience was applied according to the scene’s environment.
Overall mixing and mastering were completed in accordance with the technical requirements of the distribution platforms. At the moment, the film is receiving awards at various festivals across Russia.
